Mountains, on the shores of the Strait of Georgia, enjoying great views of the Comox
Glacier and Mount Washington.
The valley region includes many of the services important to travelers. Some of the services include accommodations, gas stations, tours, guides, a marina, gift stores, restaurants, banks, big box stores, art galleries, museums, campgrounds, theatre, post offices, laundromats and more.
The mountain and ocean landscape is ideal for many year round activities. During the summer golfing, kayaking, horseback riding, boating, mountain biking, scuba diving, beachcombing, cycling, fishing, hiking, birdwatching and sailing are popular.
During the winter snow skiing, snowboarding, cross country skiing and snowmobiling are popular at the higher elevations. At the lower elevations many of the summer activities are still enjoyed during the winter months like golfing and scuba diving.
