Miracle Beach Provincial Park has two day-use/picnic areas. The main day use area has a picnic shelter with two gas barbeques, picnic tables, change building with flush toilets, an information shelter and a large parking area. The northern day use area parking lot has the trailhead to the Black Creek Estuary and beach access. Pit toilets and an info shelter are located at the parking lot.
Miracle Beach Provincial Park connects to Saratoga Beach. Together, both beaches, create miles of sandy fun beaches and relaxing scenic moments. Miracle Beach has over 2 km of hiking trails in the park. The hiking trails lead from the campground and day-use parking lots through second-growth forest.
The majority of the well maintained trails are wheelchair accessible at Miracle Beach and most start at the north beach parking lot. There are trails also that will take you along Black Creek and to the estuary at the northwest end of the park. A dog-walking trail is also available at the park.
Most people are not aware of this fact but Miracle Beach has a viewing platform and fish weir located close to the BC Parks office located at the entrance to the park. This Miracle Beach experience provides an interesting opportunity in the spring and fall to watch the Salmon spawning life cycle. Interpretive signage information about the fish weir is onsite.
The campsite near Miracle Beach can accommodate group facilities, has an adventure playground for the active child and enjoys warm hot showers. Miracle Beach Provincial Park has an open air amphitheatre for budding actors and an interpretive centre.
Miracle Beach Provincial Park is located in betweenCampbell River and Courtenay, BC. It s only 22 km north of Courtenay and 22 km south of Campbell River off Hwy 19a. Miracle Beach Provincial Park is accessed from Hwy 19 by taking Hamm Road (exit #144) to Hwy 19 (the Oceanside Route). Keep driving north Miracle Beach Drive, then drive 2 km to the beautiful beach park.
