Telegraph Cove, BC, Vancouver Island:
This boardwalk community was established in 1912 as a base for the Air Force during WW 2. Telegraph Cove, BC started as a telegraph station growing into a fish saltery and then grew into a booming sawmill. The main employer of the area, the sawmill, was constructed to build boxes for shipping the Salmon to far away markets.

Today, visitors stroll the waterfront walkway of Telegraph Cove exploring the shops including a gift store, restaurant, pub and some well preserved heritage buildings perched along the coastline high above the tides on pillars. A really nice photographic moment should be had. The village accommodations include cabins, RV and Tenting campground.
