This boardwalk community was established in 1912 as a base for the Air Force during WW 2. Telegraph Cove, BC started as a telegraph station growing into a fish saltery and then grew into a booming sawmill. The main employer of the area, the sawmill, was constructed to build boxes for shipping the Salmon to far away markets.
Today, visitors stroll the waterfront walkway of Telegraph
Cove exploring the shops including a gift store, restaurant,
pub and some well preserved heritage buildings perched along
the coastline high above the tides on pillars. A really nice
photographic moment should be had. The village accommodations
include cabins, RV and Tenting campground.

At the end of the wharf in Telegraph Cove, BC is the Johnstone Strait Whale Interpretive Centre, also known as the " Bones Project". Time it right and visitors can see the preservation of the bones in progress as they are cleaned and put on display for viewing. Telegraph Cove is a quaint village with lots of history including the birthplace of one of the first Whale Watching tour companies in BC.
The marina in Telegraph Cove, BC has over 150 slips for visiting captains and their vessels to tie up to for the night. Because of the marina, Telegraph Cove is ideal for acting as a base for Kayaking, Sailing or Boating trips to Robson Bight and to discover the Broughton Archipelago.
