Port Renfrew has two marinas for mooring your boat. The area has a long standing reputation as one of the premier fishing areas for Salmon, Halibut and bottom fish on the West Coast of Vancouver Island .

Port Renfrew has many sandy, private beaches. San Juan Beach is one celebrated beach in the area covered in fine sand and wind-torn driftwood for as far as the eye can see is located on the Pacheedaht First Nations Reserve. The West Coast of Vancouver Island is a haven for wilderness backpacking with Port Renfrew acting as the entry or exit point to the world famous West Coast Trail, Juan de Fuca Trail and Botanical Beach.

Fairy Lake and Lizard Lake are popular local swimming holes and ideal for fishing trout. The area has a few new beautiful restaurants for dining, many unique accommodations but is not a place for the 24/7 shopper as the village is small. Also cellular service is non existence in the area unless you drive to Botanical Beach parking lot... we have had success there... he he he.
