- Rathtrevor Provincial Park. Beautiful golden
sandy beaches covered in driftwood and shells. Rathtrevor Beach is a popular destination when the sun is out. The endless beach is ideal for families, for soul searching beach walks, throwing a frisbee, photography and relaxing. The shorelines and wooded area is filled with campsites all close in proximity to the sandy beach.

- Little Qualicum Falls Park. 440 hectre park
with forested trails and waterfalls crashing down in between
rock crevices. The Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park offers it's visitors some of the best controlled conditions of unobstructed views of the upper and lower waterfalls. A great view of carved out rock cliffs funnelling the current of the Qualicum River pushing the fallen trees further down the river's path.

- Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park. See the
wonders of the under world with the main cave and lower main
cave which are open for self exploration. Bring flashlight and
good shoes. The Horne Lake Caves were preserved in 1971 by a local movement that developed from the surrounding caving communities concern about the longevity of the natural caving environment. The largest caves at Horne Lake Caves Park are the best preserved and protected of all the caves in the area.

- Englishman River Falls Provincial Park. Among
the rain forest are some spectacular waterfalls, hiking trails
and picnic areas. Englishman River Falls Provincial Park spans out over 97 hectares with a day-use area, a campground, trails leading through the lush second-growth and old-growth forests. Off the trails, the forest floor is littered with fallen timbers and branches covered with moss and comforted by ferns.

- Cathedral Grove. The lush park is a network of short rainforest wilderness walking trails weaving in amongst moss covered fallen trees covered in blankets of ferns. The Cathedral Grove Park is over 157 hectares in size and is designed to protect the Douglas Fir old-growth forest on east Vancouver Island and within the Coastal Douglas Fir Biogeoclimatic Zone.

- Barclay Crescent Millennium Bridge. A trail system suited for walkers and bikers passing over French Creek. The Barclay Crescent Millennium Bridge was built in 2000 and a plaque marks the site dedicated to all the volunteers. The area is ideal for wildlife viewing and has a Salmon Spawning run every December. The trail is a route from Parksville to French Creek.
- Cameron Lake. Beaches for swimming and suntanning.
Kayaking, canoeing, fishing and windsurfing on the lake is common.
Beautiful crystal clear waters for relaxing times. Access from
Hwy #4 east of Qualicum Beach.
- Coombs Market. Unique buildings, one with
live goats living on the roof. Lots of interesting, eclectic
shops to browse. A mini fair with a ferris wheel for the kids.
Just the browsing is free. Located off of Hwy #4A east of Parksville
and Hwy #4 from Qualicum Beach.
- Fern Road Woods Trail. The trail is a pedestrian, cyclist and horseback trail that leads into the community of Qualicum Beach. The Fern Road Woods Trail is accessed west of Bennet Road.
- Lighthouse Country Trail. South loop through
ferns and trees and the North Loop a rough level trail. Great
for hikers and mountain bikers. Access in Qualicum Bay off of
Hwy 19A onto Lions Way.
- Mount Arrowsmith Regional Park. Long wilderness
hikes into the backcountry offering up views of the Vancouver
Island coastline for miles from Nanaimo to Qualicum Bay. Scenery
is spectacular. Access from Hwy #4 east of Qualicum Beach.
- North Island Wildlife Recovery Association.
There is now a charge of $4.00 per adult and $2.00 per child.
The centre is closed to the public from October to April. Self
guided viewing tours of wildlife. Nature walk through museum.
A wildlife rehabilitation centre. Located in Errington, short
distance west of Parksville off of Leffler Rd. Tel:(250)248-8534
- Oceanside Route Scenic Drive. Experience the
beautiful ocean drive from Qualicum Beach to the Denman Island
Ferry Terminal outside of Deep Bay, BC along Hwy #19A, the Oceanside
Route.
- Qualicum Bay Beach. Sandy pebble beach with
tidal pools and lots of driftwood. great for beachcomber and
exploring for the kids. Located off of Hwy #19A, the Oceanside
Route.
- Qualicum Beach. 4 km sandy beach with paved
oceanside walkway. grassy areas and benches along the route.
Ocean views are constant and ever changing with the activity
in the bay. Access from Hwy #19A, the Oceanside Route.
- Rosewall Provincial Park. Small park with
a one hour hike along creek and through forests to a small waterfall
and picnic area. Located outside of Qualicum Beach in Deep Bay
off of Hwy #19A.
- Spider Lake Provincial Park. Swimming, small
sandy beach in pristine wilderness setting. Great area for kayaking,
canoeing and fishing. Access from Hwy #19 onto Horne Lake Caves
Rd for about 8 km.
- Top Bridge Mountain Bike Park. Awesome network
of trails for experts to novice mountain bikers. Access from
Chattell Rd in Parksville.
- Top Bridge Trail. 5 km trail one way connecting
Rathetrevor Provincial Park and Beach with Top Bridge Mountain
Bike Park. It is a rough straight forward trail great for walking
and mountain bikers. Access from Industrial Road.
