On Vancouver Island and The Gulf Islands there
are many smaller airports which cater to charter planes, helicopters
and private planes while the two major, larger airports - one in Victoria,
BC near Sidney servicing the south island and the other in the Comox-Courtenay
area servicing the central and north island communities - are able
to accommodate the major airlines and larger planes. Direct access
to the smaller coastal communities comes by way of charter planes,
floatplanes and helicopters. |
